Great Pub that does an amazing Sunday roast.
Sunday Roast, Pint of Guinness in front of their open fire and the rugby on the TV. What else are Sunday afternoons for? Kids and dogs are welcomed too. Really nice place.

Divine food
This is more of a restaurant with a pub attached for those that aren't hungry, in my opinion! It's very popular in Godmanchester and the surrounding areas, which says it all, really. The building is enchanting and old from the outside and surprisingly sophisticated and modern once you're through the threshold. The staff are polite and efficient. They always seat you in a good position rather than one that suits them, which is often the case. The menu is not extensive and the food is simple, but my gosh is it good. The meat is always perfectly cooked and high quality, and the vegetables are fresh and full of flavour. The chips are hot and fluffy, just as they should be, and the wine list is extensive. The other soft drinks are well served and they do some great coffee. Desserts are also absolutely delightful. It's not your bog standard pub food so do expect fine dining prices, but that's my point about it being a great restaurant with a pub attached! The pub is, to be fair, also fantastic with great decor and friendly service, but I would highly recommend the food.
