Are You Ready for a Huntingdon Winter

Despite it being a pretty good weekend weather wise, this is England so we know the the cold weather is coming soon and so it is time to get ready for winter. So if you don't want to get caught out this winter and end up pay out extra there are couple of things that you should get serviced/checked out before the weather finally turns for he worst.

Getting your boiler checked out properly and professionally is one thing and hopeful winter won't seem so long and dark and you won't get caught out mid winter.. The accreditation system for companies qualified to service your boiler has changed. Corgi is out and the new system is Gas Safe registered. So always check that your engineer is Gas Safe registered. You can check if they are on the Gas Safe Register website

If your house is rented then is your landlords responsibility to have the gas appliances, pipework and flues checked each year and they should give a copy of the certificate within 28. Gas Safe registered engineers should carry out the inspection and any work. Gas cookers and other domestic appliances should also be checked each year to ensure they are safe to use.
