    Perhaps we could use your 'it always rains when there is a hosepipe ban' theory to good use and have an local on/off hosepipe ban on Mondays and Tuesdays each week (Bank Holidays Monday excluded) or perhaps a hosepipe between the hours of 1am and 3am each night. We would have enough water reserves and mostly sunny days. We all win!

    I blame it on the hosepipe ban. Since the ban was introduced it has rained every day (I think!). I am not complaining (we need the rain) just making an observation -_-
