If you love real chocolate as much as I do then I am sure you will be excited too at the news that Hotel Chocolat who make all their chocolate products at the factory of St Peter's Road in Huntingdon have opened a factory shop there too. This is not mass produced confectionery this is real chocolate with creative flare.

I spoke with Manager Laura and Assistant Manager Vikki who normally work in the Norwich branch and where enjoying the sun light. The Norwich branch is in a mall. The shop has only been open for a couple for weeks but Laura said the response has been very good so far and they have some interesting stories already.

One women who came in a brought lots of the lucky dips selections for her wedding. She was planning on putting them of platers and serving them up to her guests. Saving her quite a lot of money.

Vikki said “on the day that the Hunts Post had ran a special promotion with vouchers, one man arrived at 7am to get his chocolate. The store opens at 11am so he had a 4 hour wait.” He must really love his chocolate. “It reminded us of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Golden winning ticket” said Laura

While I was there, I couldn't resist buying one of the lucky dip selections at only £5. The round football shapes with rhubarb centre were my favourites. It really does present excellent value to get these high quality chocolates at discount prices and as well as the lucky dip selection the small factory shop has some of the Hotel Chocolat's best sellers here too.

Definitely worth popping along.

Opening hours are:

11am to 6pm Monday to Friday,

11am to 5pm Saturdays,

& 11am to 4pm Sundays
