Snow and Icy Roads in Huntingdon

Touch wood, we seem to have missed the worst of the snowy and icy conditions so far. Whilst large parts of the UK particularly Scotland and the North have ground to a halt because of the winter weather we in Huntingdonshire have so far been luck. We have had a dusting of snow and conditions on the smaller roads are still a little dangerous

Most Roads in Huntingdonshire are OK even smaller roads like this one near Hilton
The main problem is with freezing overnight conditions making roads particularly dangerous once the sun goes down. There was a car in the ditch near St Ives causing traffic problems near Houghton, but the A14 has remained clear and whilst traffic is slow, it is still moving. Trains to and from London have as yet been unaffected.
More snow is forecast over the next couple of days so we are not out of those snow drift filled woods yet.
