Some time ago I remember that there were notices along our footpath in Stukeley Meadows stating that 'Dogs must be kept on a lead'. Not that everyone took notice, but most of the dogs were kept on a lead and allowed to run loose on the grassed area on the other side of the stream. However, the notices disappeared, but when I don't know. Now it is very rare for a dog to be kept on a lead and my grandson has twice been knocked over by 'energetic' dogs. Unfortunately the 2 dog owners I spoke to do not see it this as a problem or how frightened a 4 year old is when a dog knocks them off their feet. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
