Do you think the Council should put up the cost of parking in Huntingdon from 20p per hour to maybe 30p per hour. I think that people would generally still use the car parks as much but the council might get as much as £15,000 extra each year. I know that's not a lot but for the cost of changing a few signs and adjusting the pay machines. It seems a good return to me. What do you think?

That's tosh and will only drive people away to shop in other towns. I think they should go the other way and make all parking free to attract people into the town and stimulate the area.

So why am I paying 50p per hour currently; am I missing something? I agree wholeheartedly with the idea of free parking - I would certainly come into town more often, but it would need to be controlled in some way (and therefore a cost would be involved) to prevent people parking all day, especially those that commute from the rail station.

Where are you parking wobbylo? Riverside and the car park over the Old Bridge (technically Godmanchester) are only 20p per hour.
