The local Fire Brigade are asking for people to make sure that your chimney is swept and properly inspected before you use it this winter to prevent accidental fires, after Firefighters attended a chimney fire in Hemmingford Grey yesterday (Tuesday 3rd Jan). One crew from St Ives was despatched and were about to extinguished the fire using one hose reel and chimney rods.
