Saw a green mini on the A1198 going from Godmanchester towards Papworth that didn't have a licence plate either front or back.

Are their any vehicles that can legally be on on the road with licence plates? It wasn't an old one looked pretty new. Any thoughts?

I suspect it was being driven on trade plates. Often the drivers just position the plates inside the vehicle on the dash and back parcel shelf. I cannot comment on the legality of this, but whenever I have had a test drive with a car dealer, they always fasten the plates over the existing plates. Maybe when there are no plates fitted, this is acceptable.
