Yep. It is. VERY popular this first week - they've had to lay on extra buses! Hopefully the novelty will die down a little, as standing is not much fun once you come off the guided track and you hit the bumpy roads.
I did a little stint out to Fen Drayton Reserve for an RSPB walk (wotta GREAT day out - everyone should do it! £2-4, and it all goes to help the birds, folks!).
The busway, though... 7 out of ten? The drivers were working really hard to pull it together, but the hordes of people rather put me off, and when you think it's the same price and the same time as the A14... (and if the A14 bungs up /gets closed - again - can you imagine the crush that will ensue? No thank you).
Wi-Fi was a pain - I battled to get my smart-phone screen to handle the intro "accept our conditions"page with its weeny tick box, and gave up when that took me to a marketing fill-in-your-details page. For the 50 mins I was on the bus, it was easier to wait until I got home!
I wonder how people waiting on the rather exposed platforms will fare in the depths of winter, too.
But - both Whippet & Stagecoach provide a quite comfortable ride (if you can get a seat!), and it is a useful extra option to add to the usual bus routes or driving.
