How would you like to have your desk, the filing cabinet and phone in an office in an old water tower beside the A14?

Well you may soon have the chance as plans to develop the old water tower are a possibilty again. The Elevations Business Park has suffered from the uncertainty over the rerouting of the A14 and had frankly just been left for years.

Newmarket developers Landro are looking for a tenant to come forward who would be interested in a building of this type to kick start the project, as a purely speculative project in the current economic climate is unlikely. However permission for the re-development of the water tower into office has already been granted.

The scheme involves converting the water tower into a nine floor office development known as the Beacon, which already has planning permission, and an office complex called the Meadows.

The site is close to the site designated for a new Sainsbury's store and the area around the water tower had been zoned as employment land.

Of course the worry is that no-one will come forward and the site will continue to left abandoned

Elevations Business Park is being marketed by Huntingdon-based Barker Storey Matthews and further information is available from Alan Matthews on (01480) 451578 or at enquiries@elevationsbusinesspark.co.uk
